My darling Essie

When my daughters started using Instagram I was intrigued to see what all the “fuss” was about. So i created my own account on this platform and what a world opened up.

I came across some very interesting people. About a year ago I found a rather interesting page @mummylovesessie. The first picture I saw was from three tiny babies.

Being a new grandmother to twin girls all twins and triplets caught my attention. It turns out to be a wonderful page about mum Lorna and her precious triplets Roman, Essie and Eva. But Essie was the special one that kept me visiting the page over and over again. Essie was born with a life limiting brain injury. But she defied all odds and thrived. Essie had the expected ups and downs but she showed the world what a true warrior she really is. “Why fit in when you were born to stand out”

Essie is a gorgeous little lady. I may not know her personally but through Lorna’s posts and updates  I felt a connection.  Not only do  I admire Lorna and her husband, being hard-working parents and taking care of the triplets but to deal with all life throws at them each and every day.
Unfortunately Essie is at the end of her life care at the moment. This news absolutely broke my heart. An although Essie’s life is coming to an end she is absolutely adorable in the latest pics her very proud mom shares with us each and every day.

But today is a very special day. Today is Essie’s Day. Essie is a life limited triplet who is only 14 months old. She suffered a catastrophic brain injury at birth and spent the first 11 weeks of her life in hospital. Essie finally came home on 19 April 2016. Essie’s Day is about being a tortoise and taking life one day at a time. Time is precious when you are a life limited and severely disabled child. Essie has now unfortunately entered her end of life care, but continues to fight each and every day for a few more seconds, minutes, hours, days or weeks with her family. She is a fighter and an inspiration. Be like Essie today, be a tortoise. #essiesday #19april @mummylovesessie 📷: @cherylrawlings

Ilona’s Book Review: TouchStone For Ever by Sydney Jamesson

I had high hopes for a happy ending for Beth and Ayden in TouchStone For Ever. And why not?

Ayden Stone and Elizabeth Parker are soul mates. Their love is a force to be reckon. They were destined to find each other once again because they are soul mates.  I believe that such love does exist. I believe in destiny; I believe that everything happens for a reason. Things often happen in ways that we cannot understand, but we always can dare to hope that in the end, everything will be okay. Our sacrifices, tears, anguish, sleepless nights… At the end, it’ll all be worth it. That’s why so many people believe in miracles and we often pray for one.

The beautiful and brave Beth shines in this book like no other heroine. She shows a strength and love that we only hope we have if our love has to…

MJ’s Book Review: TouchStone For Giving by Sydney Jamesson

Book Review by MJ: TouchStone For Giving by Sydney Jamesson

When I write a book review I’m completely honest. I write what I think. What the book made me feel. If the author makes me feel what his/hers characters feel, then most likely I’ll write a 4 or 5 stars book review.

So what do I think after reading TouchStone for Giving, the second book in The Story of Us Trilogy?

The story picks up exactly where TouchStone For Play left us. Ayden and Beth trying to work out their relationship. A relationship they both are aware is worth fighting for. The writing style and pace of the story is flawless. It flows organically. Every scene written and every plot twist (which were a few and unexpected) added the right amount of angst, romance and suspense to not let you stop reading until the very end of the book. Dan…

Hello everyone!

As promised, we’ll be sharing the book review for the first book in The Story of Us Trilogy, TouchStone For Play, written by our dear author and friend, Sydney Jamesson.

In our previous post, we introduced you to this talented and best selling UK author. Our very own Ilona Gunther has a few words to share with you in her book review.

What does Ilona thinks about TouchStone For Play?

Lets find out, shall we? 😉

Book Review: TouchStone For Play

I must say that in the beginning, I didn’t know what to expect. This novel seemed to me to be like a lot of other erotic romance novels out there. Billionaire meets a young, beautiful and innocent woman whom he seduces until she falls head over heels for him. I was wrong. So very wrong.
I loved the heroine of the story, the teacher, Beth Parker. She’s…

Durrell Wildlife and Henry Cavill: Two Superheroes Saving Our Planet

CAASisters

Hello there!

As you may have read in our prior post, we’re celebrating Henry Cavill not just for a day, but for the whole month.  When the CAASisters Core Group started their brainstorm of ideas to do during the month of May, our #HenryMayMadness, we had to decide what gift we could give Henry for his birthday.  It had to be special, but mostly, we were determined to make it meaningful.  Transcendental.  All of us, sisters and followers around the world, supported the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund last year, helping it to raise more than $9,000 through Henry Cavill’s JustGiving account.

The decision was easy.  We decided to choose Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust even before knowing that Henry would attend the Siam Cup on May 2nd.  Right from the beginning, we wanted to get everyone involved!  Furthermore, we wanted our dear sisters and followers to know why they…

May 5, 1983, A Date to Remember – #HappyBirthdayHenryCavill

CAASisters

Henry William Dalgleish Cavill (or as we affectionately refer to him as The Boss!) was born on this day May 5th 1983 in St Helier, the capital of the small island of Jersey in the Channel Islands. He comes from a close-knit family, his father Colin Cavill and Aunt Lilian being part of his management team and his brothers Piers, Nic, Simon and Charlie are the backbone of his life. Not forgetting the most important member – his mother Marianne Cavill. Bringing up five, tall, strapping sons deserves a medal in itself – that they have turned out to be such strong, caring and warm individuals is a testament to her loving care. Henry has always referred to his mother as “an amazing woman” and it’s not hard to see the love he and his brothers feel for her.

Once Upon a Time …

CAASisters

Once upon a time in the magical world of Twitter, there was someone who asked for a special wish for her birthday: to receive lots and lots of photos from her movie crush, Henry Cavill.

According to Disney’s Cinderella, where there is kindness, there is goodness. Where there’s goodness, there’s magic.” And that’s exactly what happened. Magic.

Fairy godmothers came from all places flicking their magic wands while working their magic spells. Pictures of Henry flooded our birthday girl’s TL, making her the happiest woman on earth on her birthday. She’d never forget how happy her godmothers made her feel, so that day she committed to do the same for other birthday girls.

But the fairytale doesn’t end here...

When Mabel sent her first picture to BAE on July 8, 2013, none of them imagined what was about to happen just a few days later. What…
